The use of polyurethane (PU)

Leather-look garments are truly personality-affirming, not morally reprehensible (they're not real leather), and very practical and suitable for everyday use. The imitation leather used today is mostly made from PU-coated fabric. To ensure that the covering remains elastic and flexible, the coating imparts an additional foam structure. You can find other coatings for leatherette, but polyurethane offers a decisive advantage: it lets the skin breathe, increasing the feeling of comfort.
